Have you ever seen a cat hunt for cranberries? A cat is a carnivore that needs a diet consisting of meat. Unfortunately, the mass produced dry and can cat food and treats we buy at the local stores can contain corn, corn products, wheat, gluten, cranberries, animal “by-products” and other ingredients that are simply not needed and can actually be harmful – leading to obesity, diabetes, and other health issues. The best food and treats I have seen can be found Here. My cats love this stuff! It’s made from only the best ingredients. No corn, no by-products, and nothing artificial added.

Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disorder (FLUTD) is a disorder that usually strikes neutered male cats. FLUTD has many possible causes from infection to crystals of struvite or calcium oxalate. Signs your cat may have FLUTD are:

Painful urination and/or straining to urinate (which could be mistaken for constipation).
Bloddy urine.
Vomiting.
Depression.
Urinating or attempting to urinate in unusual places.
Excessive licking of the urinary opening.

If your cat has these symptoms you must get him to the vet immediately (even if it’s after hours)! A urinary blockage will lead to a slow and painful death without immediate medical attention.
